Meez Nation is chock-full of awesome users. However, it takes something special to be a superstar Meez Hero! From now on, we’ll be highlighting users who are active, original, and the very definition of entertainment. In other words, prepare your best Siggy! You may be chosen next…
Big props go out to Meez user Eaux. She’s consistently been creating the hottest Siggies around!
We recently chatted with Eaux to get her perspective on what makes an awesome Siggy. Likewise, she provides some great advice for other users on how to make their Siggy unique and interesting.
Check it out!
……………………………………………………………………………………
Meez: How long have you been on Meez?
Eaux: Well I joined, I ’spose, almost a year ago. December 8th.
Meez: How did you get into designing Siggies?
Eaux: Siggy making started when I got into the MCC, which was about a month (maybe a bit more?) ago. I saw how creative you could really get with ‘em and how much people valued them so I figured I’d try it out.
Meez: How much time goes into developing your Siggy?
Eaux: It really really depends. Usually about 45 minutes to an hour.
Though this mostly ends up happening when i’m making something for
myself because I know exactly what I want. Though, if I’m making one
for someone else it may take me a bit longer. I get kind of frustrated
sometimes so I’ll take breaks, haha, I know, it’s terrible.
Meez: What makes your Siggies unique?
Eaux: I’d like to hope it’s the creativity I put into ‘em. I try to turn it into something that’s different, even if if the idea isn’t exactly original I do my best to portray it in a way that may be. I’ll mess around with every part and then i’ll add a sort of “theme” to pull it
all together. Then I pop it into the oven, gas mark 300, and when it
comes out you get a perfectly crisp golden siggy. (If only it were
that easy.)
Meez: What advice do YOU have for other Meezers who want to develop a unique Siggy?
Eaux: Oh goodness, ehm. I’d say just get an idea and run with it. Get as creative as you can, think outside the quadrilateral parallelogram. It sounds cheesy but I’m not sure what else to say.
Meez: Are there any other users who you feel have great Siggies?
Eaux: I’ve always always admired Izzy-Meez’s siggies, they’re always cute and always colorful and very well done. They put a smile on your face. Also, I really love Piucca’s siggies. Basically just due to the art, creativity, and detail put into them. Their work is what really inspired me to try out siggy making myself.
Meez: What’s your favorite Meez Forum? Why?
Eaux: MCC, hands down. From the art to the people, it’s just a lovely place to be. Everyday there’s some sort of new pieces to look at, and everyone I’ve met and had the pleasure to talk to have been beyond lovely.
Meez: What’s one thing you’d like to see added to Meez?
Eaux: Maybe a weekly spotlight for some art? Something like the Meez video area on the front page. I think it’d be lovely and inspiring to be able to see your art being shown.
Meez: What’s your favorite thing about Meez?
Eaux: I’d have to say the people. I’ve learned quite a bit, smiled a lot, and laughed so hard countless times just from plain old conversations. I’ve also grown as an artist thanks to the influence and inspiration from everyone.
