Got my Vans on but they look like Meezers…
Being Bay Area born-and-bred, I was stoked when Meez got our latest music artists: The Pack. Their songs are ridiculous, their style is loud, and they share the same area code as I do. You’ve probably seen ‘em on 106 & Park, and their newest video has just recently hit BET.
Allow me to introduce you to some of their lyrical genius:
Got my vans on, but they look like sneakers
Got my vans on, but they look like sneakers
Got my vans on, but they look like sneakersSince 1966, Vans had set a trend
I got a blue pair, yea, in a size 10
That, of course, was a couple of snippets from their debut hit, “Vans.” A rap group that sings about a skate shoe and not Air Force Ones? Talk about crossover savvy!
I also highly recommend the new “In My Car.” Take a whiff:
Riding down the street
and I see a pretty girl
she wants me, I want her
I will take her to my world
I’m in my car
I’m stunting in my car
You know I’m in my car
I’m stunting in my car
My car
This stuff is undeniably entertaining. How can you listen and not laugh? And actually, if you think about it, Billy Ocean was the true original with “Get Out of My Dreams, Get into My Car,” so The Pack is really just continuing on his legacy of pickin’ up chicks while joyriding. Howzat for a history lesson.
Cop The Pack’s fluorescent style on Meez. Pretty cool BAPE-ish style clothing for men and women!

And yes, slip-on sneakers, too…
