Howdy-ho, Meezers! Kate the Forum Insider here with all the good, juicy gossip I’ve found this week in the Meez Forums.

First thing’s first, I know you’re dying to know who won the Very First EVAH Meez Scavenger Hunt!! This makes me happy, because I’m dying to tell you…

I have to say before I reveal the winners that there is a bit of another surprise connected with this contest. I’m sure by now you’ve read all over the place about this “Meez-flation” thing which happened today. If you haven’t: basically Meez is changing the value of your Coinz X100. (So, if you had five Coinz yesterday, today you have 500… cool, right?) The Meez-flation also affects the winners of this contest – instead of being awarded 50 Coinz for their winning answers they will be awarded 5,000!

W00T!

Sadly, I had to disqualify several correct entries because they did not EMAIL ME their answers and/or they didn’t submit their Meezy name!

However, there were eight people who got all the answers correct and also followed the contest directions.

In other Forum news: this week saw the debut of yet another forum! MeezU is the place to talk about college life, and for those curious about what college is like. This developing forum already has some great topics in it including the Sticky: Post Your Study Tips started by our own Lucy Meez. I foresee great collegiate conversations occurring on this forum in the near future.

There is also a debate raging in the Controversy forum (go figure) about what is causing the “death” of the Controversy forum. My spies have been keeping an eye on that thread all week and have informed me that it is especially amusing watching the Controversy kids debating the decline of their forum, in that a healthy debate on the thread is proving that NOWAI is Controversy dead! (Do you get it? It took me a second when someone told me this earlier today.) As always, Controversy continues to be one of the hottest forums on Meez.

Another hot forum this week was Role-Playing, where the Queen of Meez, Lucy, popped over to hang out and start the very popular “A day with Lucy Meez” role-play. At the time of press the thread had reached a record 42 pages and Lucy had engaged Meezers in role-playing various activities including hanging out in a coffee shop, going to an AFI concert, chasing down the wayward llama, Jimmy and surviving the attack of the “Mad Meez Bomber.”

Could it be that our Lucy was a closet Dungeon and Dragons player back in the day? Perhaps.

It does seem to me, readers, that one of Lucy’s 2008 New Years resolutions was to spend more time with the peeps on Meez, what with her hanging out in the 13-15 forum last week and now this role-play… who knows where she’ll end up next week?

While looking for Super Bowl related Meez videos, one of my very best forums spies unearthed this classic Meez commercial starring our very own Roscoe Meez:

Don’t you think that Roscoe looks cute as a cheerleader? Who knew?!? Don’t forget that Lucy’s Super Bowl XLII Picks contest ends this Sunday. Make sure to head over to the Sports forum and post who you think is going to the Super Bowl to enter for your chance to win 42(hundred) Coinz!

Interestingly enough, a hot topic on the forums this week has been whether it’s acceptable for guys to dress up in girl Meezes, and vice versa. My opinion is that if Roscoe is cool enough to put on a cheerleading outfit, then all Meezers should be able to dress up however they want. It’s all about creativity. And, honestly the chainsaw hand and upright bass and other items in the male Meezmaker are so cool that I often considering making myself a male Meezy counterpart.

I’d like to give a shoutout this week to our newest addition to the Forum Administration team, Martin Meez! Martin is our go-to-guy for finding all the latest, hippest Meez videos to feature on the Meez website. If you have a Meez video you’d like him to feature in the Video forums or elsewhere you can email him the URL at martinmeez@meez.com.

Already Martin has a few female Meezers who have developed crushes on him, Roscoe better watch out, it would seem he has some new competition when it comes to the ladies.
